Botesdale Ivy House
Botesdale Ivy House
Closed between 1840 and 1920
Back Hills, IP22 1DW
grid reference TM 047 759
The Ivy House is known to have been a beerhouse. The precise dates are unknown, but it's reported in the 1901 census and was mentioned by the Village Recorder in a radio interview.
Having examined the Hartismere licensing records from 1923 to 1962 and found no trace of this pub, we conclude it must have closed before 1923.
