The Bottle & Glass must surely have been a pub? If you can confirm or refute this, or have any information about it, please get in touch.
The location on the modern map is approximate as it's hard to work out exactly how the modern and old maps line up.
In 1881 census Robert Ward (bricklayer journeyman) and his wife Eliza (and 4 children) are listed at the Bottle & Glass but not as licensees so it probably closed before then. Many thanks Heidi Musgrave for sending us this information.
Historical interest
The Bottle & Glass is identified in various censuses from 1841, but there is no evidence of it being a pub in this period.
