Seen here on the 1837 OS map, The Bottle & Glass must surely have been a pub? If you can confirm or refute this, or have any information about it, please get in touch.

Bottle & Glass on the 1837 OS map

The location on the modern map is approximate as it's hard to work out exactly how the modern and old maps line up.

In 1881 census Robert Ward (bricklayer journeyman) and his wife Eliza (and 4 children) are listed at the Bottle & Glass but not as licensees so it probably closed before then. Many thanks Heidi Musgrave for sending us this information.
