To be sold by auction following instructions from the Trustee of Mr William Moore's estate, Lot 12, a newly erected free public house, in Raven Meer, called Caxton Arms.Ipswich Journal, June 1875**
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in December 1880 states that the license transfer to Thomas Henry Rogers, of Dunwich, was refused.
The members of the Artillery Band were entertained by their commanding officer at a substantial dinner at the Caxton Arms. The room was tastefully decorated by Mr W Gill jun., while the dinner supplied by Mr and Mrs Revell was highly satisfactory in all respects.Dec 1885**
