Important Covid information

If all goes according to plan, the first tranche of pubs (those that are able to serve drinkers outdoors) may be able to reopen on April 12th. Though of course, in a situation like this, nothing is guaranteed. The rest of our pubs may be permitted to reopen from May 17th.

A 1960s estate pub named after Alderman W. H. Amy, mayor of the town 1951-52.

It offered live music and other functions.

In July 2013 it was reported as closed. Original plans called for the building to be demolished, but instead it now houses a convenience store.
