Historical interest
Was this called the Fox in 1855?
An inquest was held in March 1880, at the Tally Ho Inn, Mettingham, before W C Chaston, coroner, on the body of Mr John Bayley, 66, who was found dead in his workshop. From the evidence it appeared the deceased suffered from chest pains and retired in his usual health. An examination by Mr J L Currie, found only a slight bruise to the head, probably caused by falling. A verdict of death caused by heart failure was recorded. Ipswich Journal, March 1880**
