Wickhambrook Black Horse
Wickhambrook Black Horse

Closed: before 1840
Hargrave Rd
grid reference TL 768 571
The old Black Horse is now a fruit farm. The building dates from the 17th century.
No specific records have been found of this pub and it doesn't appear as a pub on OS maps as far back as 1886, so it probably closed a long time ago. Interestingly, though this location is now known as Black Horse Farm, this name only dates from the 1950s; before that it was Barber's Farm.
Could it perhaps not have been a pub but the Black Horse Farm name has been extrapolated to assume a pub?
