Rattlesden Rising Sun
North East, 52.18881,0.89179
Closed: between 1975 and 1979?
Mitchery Ln
grid reference TL 977 584
The pub can be seen on this old OS map from 1884. interactive map
The Rising Sun is marked on OS maps at least as late as 1975, but seems to have gone by the 1979 sheets, so presumably closed between those dates. The steep climb up from the village no doubt explains why too few locals used it for it to stay open.
It's listed at Poy Street Green until at least 1901.
