A plaque marks the building on the site of the original Globe, which was home to William Youngman who was a brewer and the first mayor of Lowestoft.
It's not to be confused with New Globe which was established after 1885 at 131 High Street. (The Globe at 131 High Street is listed from at least 1861, and possibly earlier.)
