The Jolly Sailor can be seen at this location on the 1882 OS map.
No other details are known. The beerhouse also appears on the 1889 map but not on the 1905 or subsequent maps, so presumably closed between 1889 and 1905. It isn't listed in the 1910 Rates book, so had almost certainly closed by that year.
It's not 100% clear whether the beerhouse was the building north or south of Mill Lane, but the northern one (demolished by 1905) seems most likely.
Historical interest
Note: none of the census entries actually name this pub, but censuses from 1851 to 1881 record this one or two entries from Mill Lane.
