There are two pubs named as the Victoria Gardens Beer House, London Road, in the 1861 census, with 3 properties between them. (The enumerator has appended (2) to the second one). The second Victoria Gardens became the Butchers' Arms when its owners obtained a slaughterhouse license.

A Smith's paper "Inns of Beccles in 1929" (kindly supplied by Daryl Ling) tells us that "what is now Beaumont House was the Victoria Gardens, this has been closed within living memory". This building is now known as "Bethesda".
