Now residential, this was adjacent to Finningham railway station which actually stood in Bacton. It has occasionally been incorrectly recorded as having been in Finningham, probably due to its proximity to the station.

Historical interest
David Carter was my great grandfather. He is listed in the 1881 British Census as being "Licensed Victualler & Farmer - 190 Acres - employing 9 men". His Dwelling is listed as Railway Tavern, Cotton, Suffolk . I'm also very interested in the fact that a George Larter took over from him since there is a connection between that family and the Carters and I'm trying to find the link.Peter Carter
A two hour extension was granted to Mr LARTER, of the Railway Tavern, Cotton, for the supper of the employees of the Finningham Railway, on 9th February, 1894.Ipswich Journal, February 3rd 1894**
